Long time no talk! I'm not as sad anymore. I got a new job but its a lot less pay. Shit's happened that I don't feel like writing down. Election happened. Yikes! New Year. Double yikes!
Watched The Lord of the Rings for the first time at the end of October and it became a new special interest. I love the world and the lore, though I really don't care for reading the books as I found Tolkien's prose to be extremely boring. I don't really care though because the movies and The Rings of Power are my babies now. Especially RoP!! I think it's genuinely one of the best fantasy shows around. I fell very deeply in love with Celebrimbor and I plan on adding his own F/O page eventually, as well as other characters I'll mention in a bit.
Liking Celebrimbor though led me to watching The Terror(2018), on request of my friend Blue, because his actor Charles Edwards plays a character in it. This led to two hyperfixations: Charles Edwards himself, and The Terror. Holy shit do I love the Terror. I've lost count on how many times I've rewatched it at this point. I've also been making a HUGE amount of art and writing for it. Genuinely I can't stop thinking about it its insane. oh my god. oh my god. I want to kiss so many of these old white guys its insane.
Also just. Charles Edwards!!!!!! He is so ridiculously attractive to me and I find him so absolutely charming in all the interviews and bts content I see of him. I've watched a ton of things just for him, my favorite not mentioned so far being Under the Vines. It's a romcom show made by Acorn TV and all the promo material makes it seem so utterly unappealing to my tastes, but I honestly adore it. It's not the best show in existence (thats The Terror), but it's SO much better than I gave it credit for. I'd highly recommend checking it out! Charlie plays a character named Louis Oakley who starts the show out as a miserable, mean, alcoholic and I'm utterly enamored with him. We're introduced to him by him waking up in jail after being arrested for public indency, because he'd gotten blackout drunk and streaked through Picadilly Circus screaming about a need to return to public decency. This then goes viral online, where he becomes known as The Picadilly Willy. Oh my god is this show utterly hysterical sometimmes. It also said the phrase "gender-neutral nonbinary fertility bovidae" in seriousness and it was actually great. Theres an on and off again gay couple (i have complaints about their storyline in s3 ngl), half of which is played by the guy who plays Fili in The Hobbit movies. There's an old lesbian witch named Hilary who we see naked on screen. Truly the romcom show of all time. It's on amazon prime and piracy sites everywhere :3
Current future plans for the site are going to be eventually updating my About page, making F/O pages for Celebrimbor and Dr.MacDonald and maybe Louis too, and making shrines for Charles Edwards and The Terror. We'll see though! I am famous for never finishing my plans.
